South Carolina Bylaws
  1. All ages may use a continuous batting line-up where free defensive substitutions are permitted.
The last out may run for the pitcher or catcher.
  2. There will be no free defensive substitutions in the fall unless hitting a continuous line-up.
  3. 9u will use the modified steal rule. Lines will be set at 10 feet from each base. If a runner takes a
running lead, he will be called out.
  4. Balks:10u, no balks, will be instructional, 11u and up balks are called with no warnings.
  5. Pitching over the limit- A pitcher must record 1 out after pitching over the maximum allowed
innings. If a pitcher is caught any time between recording an out over the limit and the signing of
the card after the game, the result will be a forfeit. Once the card is signed after the game a forfeit
    cannot occur.
  6. Tiebreakers- No game can end in a tie. If a game is tied after regulation play or after time has
expired, we will go to an international tiebreaker. Each team will begin the inning with the last out
on 2nd with no outs and no count to the batter.
  7. Ejections-If a coach is ejected from a game, he will sit out the remainder of that game PLUS  the
following game.  If a coach is ejected in the last game of the tournament, he will have to sit out
the 1st game of the next tournament.
  8. Rosters-The fall will have open rosters. A player can be on numerous rosters, but can only play
on 1 team per tournament. A player must be online on the team's roster and must have a birth
certificate on hand. If a player is not on the online roster and does not have a birth certificate on
hand, the team will forfeit the game.
  9. If a team plays up an age group they will play by the rules of their true age division i.e. A 14u team
playing up with the 15u will be able to use a -10 drop bat.
  10. A team playing up an age group cannot add an older player to their roster without re-registering
their team as that player's age. i.e. A 14u team playing in a 15u bracket cannot add a 15u player
unless they register their team online as a 15u team.
  11. Courtesy Runners- A player may courtesy run for the pitcher or catcher provided that he is not
in the present batting line-up. A courtesy runner cannot be provided for an injured player. This is
the rule and not the decision for the umpires or coaches.
  12. Coaches- The number of coaches allowed out of the dugout: One coach on defense and two
    coaches on offense.
